Kids Church

Kids Ministry

Children are an important part of our church and we provide a range of engaging kids ministries to help our little ones know and love Jesus!

Our Sunday kids ministries happen each week at our 9:00am services during the school term. Kids Church takes a break during the school holidays, when children join with the adults in the main service. At the moment, our Upper Primary Kids Church group (Grades 3-6) are meeting in the Scout Hall on Young Street. The kids are escorted there and back again with our PresSafe approved leaders.

Kids Spot during Sunday Worship Service

Children start in the main service with us, with a special kids talk introducing the Bible passage that will be explored in Kids Church. Children are encouraged to come to the front and participate in these interactive talks led by a member of our church.

Parents Room: (Babies to Age 2)

We love young children at Graceville and you’re always welcome to stay in church (we don’t mind the noise!). But if you prefer, we have a beautiful parents room. The room has comfortable seating, a change table, age-appropriate books and toys, and sound and video links to the church service.

Kids Church (Ages 3-12)

Directly after the kids’ talk, children and their leaders go out to Kids Church in the big demountables in the backyard.  First is Big Group Time: when the children stay together for a group Bible lesson, songs and games. Following this they break into Small Group Time for age-appropriate Bible stories and activities.

Annual Holiday Kids Club: (Prep to Year 6)

A highlight of our children’s ministry is always our annual Holiday Kids Club hosted in the July School Holidays. Over four days, we dive into the Bible and its gospel message using some epic themes (Circus, Rockstar, Knights), songs, games, activities, craft and a whole lot of fun! Our kids club is open to church and non-church children and is designed for children with little or no Bible knowledge.

Religious Instruction

We enjoy the opportunity to partner with other local churches in the Christian Religious Instruction (RI) program at Graceville State School every Friday. The aim of Christian RI is to inform students about the basic beliefs of the Christian faith from a non-denominational perspective. Lessons are typically 30 minutes per week on Friday.
